The development project for the former stadium site in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz aims to transform the currently undeveloped and degraded area into a modern, multifunctional urban quarter that harmoniously combines residential, commercial, recreational, and educational/sports functions.

A crucial element of the project is the renewal of the historic Gedania Sports Club building. The facility is designated to become an Educational and Sports Center, accommodating spaces for workshops, meetings, social events, and educational functions related to local sport, history, and culture. Crucially, the Center will house a Memorial Chamber dedicated to commemorating the athletes, activists, and members of KS Gedania — particularly those who perished during World War II — and chronicling the club’s sporting activities from the early 20th century to the present day.

The site’s landscape design elements deliberately recall the history of Gedania as a Polish club operating within the Free City of Gdańsk. The Memorial Chamber is intended to become a vital identity hub for the Wrzeszcz district and a leading centre for local historical education.

The scheme also introduces new pedestrian and cycling routes connecting the area with the adjacent Dolny Wrzeszcz district, incorporating managed green spaces inspired by the former pitch layout, and featuring publicly accessible squares and open spaces.
